This is the ‘flower head’ of a teasel. Much loved for their seed by finches – who provided the inspiration for my company name. There isn’t a teaselfinch as such, but you’ll typically see goldfinches on teasels. Much loved by me for their architectural qualities, much objected to by the family when I bring them indoors and dry them for winter decorations! But they look sooo good.
